Q: What kind of cases does Liberty Law Team handle?
A: Our firm handles both criminal defense matters and personal injury cases. For our criminal defense cases we cover everything from pre-arrest representation to post-trial work including appeals, PCRA’s, and pardons. For personal injury, we take on cases involving slip and falls, auto accidents, assaults, and police brutality.

Q: What if I need help in an area of law your firm doesn’t cover (e.g. Immigration, Tax, Family, etc.?
A: If your case involves a legal matter that we currently do not practice in, then we still may be able to refer you to a lawyer that does handle that field of law.

Q: How do you accept payment?
A: We accept just about every form of payment including Cash, Check, Money Order, and even Cashapp. However, we generally prefer payments be made online through our electronic payment service (Square) so that you can make a payment whenever and wherever you are able.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: For almost every case, we offer a 50/50 payment plan option meaning you would pay half the overall fee up front and the other half either in thirty (30) days or before your next court date (whichever is sooner). However, we are open to working out other payment plan options depending on the circumstances of the case and your financial situation.

Q: How will I know when payments are due?
A: We use an online invoicing system (Square) that keeps track of your overall payments and when your upcoming payments are due. You will always have access to this link so that you can follow along with your payments. Our staff will also attempt to reach out to you periodically to remind you of upcoming due dates for payments.

Q: Do I need to pay the full fee for representation to begin?
A: No, we would just need the agreed upon first payment before we can begin representation (typically the first half of the overall fee). Once we have that first payment, we begin our representation.

Q: What happens if I stop making payments?
A: Failure to make a payment may result in the attorney having to withdraw as counsel. However, we generally make efforts to obtain that payment prior to filing a withdrawal.

Q: What am I paying for?
A: Your fee not only covers the attorney’s representation on your case but it also includes our office conducting interviews, organizing your file, scheduling meetings, performing legal research, hosting strategy sessions, preparing for Court, and multitudes of other work behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly throughout the course of representation.

Q: Do you take cases Pro-Bono?
A: Although occasionally we have taken pro-bono cases, it is very rare. At the end of the day, we are a business that relies on legal fees to provide for our employees and to make the office run smoothly. If you cannot afford an attorney then the best recommendation is always to rely on a public defender or court appointed attorney from the Court.

Q: What are my chances of winning?
A: The simple (and often disappointing) answer to this question is: It Depends. For ethical reasons, we cannot guarantee a win or suggest to you that you have a certain chance of winning. At the end of the day, the outcome of your case depends on factors outside of our control including the facts of the case and the Judge presiding. However, our goal will always be to try and find a way to win your case as we have helped so many others win theirs. Like I said though, it all depends.
